Examination & Cleaning
Regular check ups are critical to maintaining your oral health and helping to prevent serious and potentially expensive issues from arising. A comprehensive examination and clean with discussion of treatment plans may require up to 90 minutes, however average check up and cleans may be completed in 30 minutes.
Crowns & Bridges
A crown is a custom made restoration to cover the remaining tooth that has been carefully prepared by our dentists. Crowns rebuild and strengthen weakened teeth and also improve the appearance by modifying shade, colour, and alignment. In the event of missing teeth, bridges can often be used to replace them.
Implants
Implants are precisely machined inserts that are seated into the jaw and act as a replacement tooth root. This provides and excellent foundation to support the abutment and crown that form the prosthetic tooth. A well maintained dental implant can last upwards of forty years.
Root & Canal Therapy
This treatment helps eliminate pain caused by infections in the tooth, restoring health back to the area and keeping the tooth for longer. Contrary to common belief root canal treatments are actually often painless and can be performed in the event of infected, inflamed, or severely swollen nerve endings associated with a tooth.
Extractions
Some teeth may require extraction as a result of trauma, infection, or extensive decay to prevent further health complications such as infection. Additionally a tooth may be extracted due to overcrowding of the mouth in preparation for orthodontic treatment.

Orthodontics

Mouthguards
Although relatively common, injuries to childrens teeth, jaws and gums can be prevented in many cases. Good habits should be employed early, with the use of protective equiptment such as mouth guards commencing once children start participating in organised sport.
Wisdom Tooth Removal
Some wisdom teeth may require removal in the event of symptomatic issues such as pain or related gum issues, particularly in the case of impaction (partially emerged). In these areas food may become trapped around the tooth potentially resulting in decay, gum disease, cellulitis, abscesses, cysts, and benign growths. Antibiotics and antiseptic solutions may treat these problems in some cases, though removal is often necessary.
First Visit
It is highly recommended children first visit the dentist at 2 years of age. This early contact facilitates the development of trust and familiarity. The initial visit and annual follow up appointments should continue until the child is comfortable with the dentist examining & cleaning their teeth.

By attending regular check ups with your dentist, the risk of extensive and expensive treatment is significantly reduced. By finding, addressing current oral health and dental issues, and discussing treatment plans, more serious issues can be prevented.
Early Dental Problems
Regular examinations and developmental check ups are recommended from two years of age onwards. Through early identification and intervention issues can be addressed while treatment is less extensive, easier, and faster.
